Honeywell Spinoff for Advanced Materials Business Completed

In October 2024, Honeywell announced its plan to spin off its Advanced Materials business. The spin off was completed in October 2025, with the new company known as Solstice Advanced Materials. Honeywell is also in the process of spinning off its Aerospace Technologies business line.

In early 2025, Honeywell sought NRC approval to transfer the Metropolis Works facility, its assets, source material license and export licenses, along with Honeywell’s partial ownership interest in ConverDyn, which holds NRC export licenses. NRC approved the license transfers in June 2025, with the final license transfer being effective with the formation of Solstice Advanced Materials.
