IAEA Technical Meeting on GS-G-2.1 ‘Arrangements for Preparedness for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency’

The purpose of the meeting is: to review, as well as to discuss with Member States and relevant international organizations, the draft text of the proposed new Safety Guide entitled Arrangements for Preparedness and Response for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency (DS504), which is a revision of the Safety Guide entitled Arrangements for Preparedness for a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency (IAEA Safety Standards Series No. GS-G-2.1); and to identify areas where it needs to be improved further.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, it was not possible to have a face-to-face meeting in Vienna. Instead, the virtual meeting was held with the participants of many Member States and International Organisations.
